Plaid has always been around in some manner of color, but this season plaid is taking on a whole new level of style. Boxed, curved, asymmetrical linear on dresses, skirts, tunics, pants and even booties! I have never been in love with plaid. In fact, you could say I hated it with a deep seeded passion because it brought up dreadful associations with buttoned down shirts (ones that you primarily see construction workers wearing) – so not me! I must share that something has changed inside me because…

Time to smile ladies, summer is officially only 2 weeks away! These warm days of sunbathing, water sliding and surfing are also all about the crazy cut outs. Yes, I am talking about fashion trends. Whether you are laying out on that Balinese bed catching some rays, splashing into that blue chlorine water or riding the waves on the Caribbean Sea, don’t forget your fancy cutout swim and resort wear. It’s not just about those cold shoulder tops, this summer is all about fancy cutout on your ankle cut leggings, side cuts on those monokinis, and cut up shoulders on maxi dresses too! You’ll even see double cutouts with all shapes and sizes. These designs are cute and if put in the right places with the right fabric, they will contribute to the most complementing of looks almost as figure flattering as princess seams.

I’ve been craving some Pink these days and not just baby Pink. I want Fuschia Pink, hot Pink and all shades of Pink will do. This Pink craving led me to pull the Savage Culture Pink Rosette Delicate Dakota Tunic Dos for my wardrobe. This top is super cute with it’s arabesque knit shoulders and 3D knitted Rose at the neckline it wears particularly well in the summer and early fall. Here’s why:
1- It’s 100% Cotton – I don’t know about you but an all Cotton top feels great on my skin and I don’t have to worry about sweating like a swine.
2- The colors/design are an absolute thrill. If you like dressing girly and pretty in Pink then you will totally understand my sentiment.

Have you heard of a french fashion label called Deca? Do you know how fabulous, free-flowing, and size varying this apparel really is? Adorning women sizes 6-20, this designing team takes inspiration from the colors found in nature and the rhythms felt in dance to produce outfits like no other! This summer’s collection was inspired by the color of Goji berries and the rhythm of Jazz! Look closely and you will be amazed as the entire current collection is decorated with color combinations of red or pink while moving to that swinging beat.
Goji berry and white colored straps, all over stretchy black, and sheer fabric pieced diagonally with a lighter matching hue – all outlined in red ruffles is one of Deca’s summer shirt 2012 collection.
This full of energy top is also full of versatility too! Wear it to work or dress in it to dance, either way you are always in style!
Silky free-flowing pants by Premise.
As you can see, this top is cute with or without curves!
