The Hottest Of The Hot for SS18

The sun is finally shining and the warmer temps are beginning to peek through. I know we have all been waiting for spring (or if you are like me then it’s summer all the way). Unfortunately, mother nature has been playing all kinds of tricks all over the world with the icy white coming down in late March and even April on the East Coast of North America as well some parts of Europe. I am here to tell you that no matter Mother Nature’s shenanigans, our spring/summer styles will prevail! We females will rise above in our luscious sundresses, midi dresses and cropped slit pants! Yes, that’s right, sit back, get strapped in tight because this will be an exhilarating ride into the beach season’s trends! Don’t blink or you might miss it.

Here’s the unravel about what’s the hottest in hot: grab a pair of comfy fit side slit pants. These babes are just what you need to keep the breeze coming, the comfy feeling and the sexy looking. Yes, we are carrying these by Maloka this season. Made in Portugal with a soft Cotton blend fabric with just enough stretch for superior comfort and fit on a short side zip.

Love The Lucky Look: Dress Colors for 2018

It’s almost that time again when we want to know what colors will bring a whirlwind of luck into our lives. The new year is just a few weeks away and this is the year of the Dog. The Dog, an earth sign, consists of five elements: Water, Fire, Wood, Metal and Earth. Those that can relate to the earth element will find themselves calmer, creative and cared for. To bring yourself closer to earth, the Feng Shui colors for 2018 are Green as this color represents the wood element along with Blue and Black. You may remember that last year at this time we mentioned the Fire colors: Red, Gold and White. This year for a reasonable amount of luck and fun, feel good when you wish to wear fire colors once more as these too are part of the earth element.

Peasant Dresses are not Just for Farm Wear

I love dresses, but when I first heard of peasant dresses, I thought “What? Why in the world would anyone want to wear a farm girl’s outfit?” I came to learn that peasant dresses are not just for horse barns and grabbing well water, but in fact they are all the crave now.

Sneak Up on Maloka Spring/Summer 2017 Collection

We have slipped into 2017 – it is over our heads and about to shimmy down our bodacious bodies, and we are feeling a bit chilly now. Well, it is only natural – we are in the middle of winter (even the West Coast feels it), but I understand, I am, after all, a lady. Every lady has a certain amount of hatred for the cold weather and day old snow. Most of all we hate that terrible feeling when we run outside wearing a sleeveless dress (even with a warm shearling coat), and for a split second it feels like we have turned into an ice sculpture. It is at that very moment when it all comes snowing down on us that it is not summer and not even spring. This is when we truly begin to understand our loathing for winter since we are dragged away from our love for those sexy little things we wear in the warm weather.

Not Your Typical Tunic and Legging Duo…

I’m always thinking about what to wear, and sometimes it’s not an easy task because I might really love particular dress but it may be too hot out for those long sleeves and darker colors. As much as I’d love to control my style, too often outside factors like weather, daily activities and even what I look like in the mirror that day dictate what outfit I’ll choose to glam myself in. With that said, today I decided to pair the Frosted Asymmetrical Tunic with the Crystal Ruched Legging.

This Week’s Styling Duo: Casual In Pink

I’ve been craving some Pink these days and not just baby Pink. I want Fuschia Pink, hot Pink and all shades of Pink will do. This Pink craving led me to pull the Savage Culture Pink Rosette Delicate Dakota Tunic Dos for my wardrobe. This top is super cute with it’s arabesque knit shoulders and 3D knitted Rose at the neckline it wears particularly well in the summer and early fall. Here’s why:

1- It’s 100% Cotton – I don’t know about you but an all Cotton top feels great on my skin and I don’t have to worry about sweating like a swine.

2- The colors/design are an absolute thrill. If you like dressing girly and pretty in Pink then you will totally understand my sentiment.
